Very true to its name: our bungalow was admist palm trees surrounded by
blooming grounds. We had Zone A with 25 steps to beach and pool. The
beds were `Thai-style` hard, but a nice size. We missed a cupboard for
clothes and lighting could have been better. The restaurant was average
+ a bit over-priced. Overall COCO PALM is a good value and with quiet
surroundings - we enjoyed our stay. Our daughter loved the pool !!

My wife and I stayed 2 weeks at the Paradise Beach Resort in March

dinner is a really pleasurable experience. The quality and variety of
food is again excellent and all the staff provide a first class
service. The rooms are equivalant to a 4* Hotel and offer all the
required facilities. I can offer nothing but praise for the way the
Hotel is managed. The lacation of the Hotel is very convenient, via the
Hotel mini bus service, to Bophut and Chaweng. We will be returning to

Excellent value for money. Suited for nature lovers, (mostly) quiet,

nice staff. What may be negative for some people: 15 minutes drive by
Song Thaew to Chaweng (far!) to have another restaurant for a change.

what can i say? the setting is magnificent. right on the beach with

down with the fishes. breakfast was a set meal but extremely edible
with fresh juice and fruit, eggs, toast & jam & coffee or tea.
the bungalows are a bit the worse for wear but the people and the
setting more than make up for a bit of age. there is one small down
side: from our beach side bungalow it was a very long climb up to the
reception and road level(100 steps & 4 steep paths). would we stay
there again? perhaps not. if they could provide easier access to the
rooms yes we would stay again" |

got them out of the box they did not work. Finally had to ask for a
`Wake-Up` call the morning of the departure. The staff let us down by
not waking us up. Luckily we woke up on our own. Samui Airport is open

Overall the stay at Laggon Bay was fair. We had requested a pick-up

sliding doors and in need of great repair. It was easy for gecko and
bugs to crawl in in the cracks all around these doors. Lastly we
requested a taxi back to the airport that Lagoon Bay arranged. It
seemed to be someone from the hotel that took us to the airport in an

Japanese. They must be thinking that the Japanese is easy to handle.
(Comparing with other nationalities people) Besidesc They said that

This is a very nicely situated resort on Lamai Beach in Koh Samui. I
requested a pool front Bungalow and got a bungalow that only faced a
wall, and was very dark inside. Talked to the manager about a room
change. He then stuck me in a bungalow next to the outside bar.You
couldn,t hear anything but the music pounding against the walls. I felt
the manager was playing games. He then showed me a deluxe oceanview
room and wanted a lot more money for it. He also wanted to charged me
for 7 nights, even though my original package was, pay for 5 nights get
2 for free. He claimed that was a special internet deal only and I
would have to pay the full amount since I changed rooms. After having
words for a few minutes, he finally said he would let me have the
internet deal at the higher price. I went ahead and took the room. It
had a nice view of the ocean, and the pool with a balcony and was
reasonalbly clean. The shower had mold all over the walls, the curtains
had a few holes in them (from 1 inch to 5 inch)and at night the 3 or
four 40 watt light bulbs barely lite up the room. To avoid anymore
confrontations, we bought spray and a brush to clean the mold off and
just delt with the rest. The resort itself was a very pretty resort and
the staff was very nice and friendly. I think they could resolve most
of their problems with a more efficent manager, that had some people
skills. I might stay here again, but not in the bungalows..." |

waiters are still learning western eating habits, like parmesan with
the pasta. The surroundings are gorgeous, and the two pools, especially
the top pool are wonderful. There are many families here. The prices
are extremely reasonable by western standards. The only thing we did not

The Waterfront is situated in an ideallic location. The views are
breathtaking and the village of Bophut is quite simply the best village
on Samui (romantic, quiet & stress-free). Chaweng for Australians
is generally over-rated. The resort itself is very clean, friendly
& relaxing. We were made to feel right at home. However there are 1
or 2 things that need to be improved: 1. Hire a chef who is F/T and
ensure that guests are able to order food & drinks when wanted
& not when staff are available. Tea & coffee making facilities
in each room should be considered whilst all management should be
trained in all aspects of day to day hotel duties. These are small
suggestions as generally the Waterfront is highly recommended. " |

the side of the hotel grounds, creating a small section of busy
beach." |

I was very pleased. Low Price. Very clean room. Friendly atmosphere.
Only a short way to the beach. The hotel is a little bit off the
chaweng nightlife, but not too far. I appreciate that.
Very recommendable." |

beach bar that plays funk, jazz and soul like this

The deluxe bungalow on the beach was very nice, but the air
conditionning was to noisy and the bar of the resort next to the
Pavilion was playing music every night. Otherwise the resort is
beautiful and the restaurant was very good." |

Together with The Princess Village is the best hotel on the island. We
were only located here for one night due to the common problem of
slight mistakes with bookings at Princess Village(where we had booked
our holiday) This turned out to be a treat and we would add a few days
at the White house for our next visit. Beautiful, quiet and
romantic!" |

At least three different standards on the bungalows makes it a little
bit hard to say which house you will get unless you don´t know exactly.
We changed to newer one close to the beach, better standard with A/C
and hot water (not needed +37 degr!) Calm, silent, clean and very
friendly. Good cooking with excellent fish and self-service possible
during daytime with softdrinks and beer. Easy to find and reach and
good transport service. Very dark small road, 200m, from main road. We
recommend this place to all our friends if not teenagers!" |

"
This was our first trip to Koh Samui and we really had no any idea of
what to expect. Upon landing we were wisked away to the baggage claim
carrosel and promptly greeted by a sign holding gentleman from Coco
Palm Samui hotel/Resort. He gladly carried our luggage to the waiting
air conditioned car and we were quickly on our way. He also spoke some
limited english as well but thankfully my girlfriend speaks fluent
Thai. We arrived at our beach front bungalow within 20 minutes of
leaving the airport and check-in was a snap. We were were greeted with
big smiles at the front desk and all spoke fluent english. We had
booked our accomodations over the internet and that was also very
convienient and effecient. We ordered the most expensive bungalow they
offered in the hope that it would be as comfortable as our home place.
Unfortunately what you pay for is location, location, location and not
necessarily comfort. Our bungalow was the nearest to the beach and it
was also the nearest to all amenities includeing the beautiful pool but
it was rather old and beat up. It needs a total remodel and upgrading.
The eternal optimist might call it `Quaint` but in reallity it is just
run down. But beyond that the other services were excellent. The staff
were friendly and helpful. The beach was clean and beautiful. The hotel
restuarant was fine for breakfast only and they make a mean fruit plate
and fruit drinks, great for eating and drinking around the pool at
mid-day. There are some great local restuarants just down the road from
the resort. we walked to them on several nights for great seafood
dinner and also for breakfast. Terrific people are running these places
and they also speak english well. Over all we highly recommend this
resort for it service and quiet location. Also, here is a tip. Leave a
small 50 or 60 Baht tip on the unmade bed each morning when you leave
your bungalow for the maid staff and see how well your status as
preferred guest goes up. You will be treated so much better by all
concerned. Be generous and it will all come back to you in great
service and big smiles. We will definately come back again and enjoy
this great place called Koh Samui. " |

We had a fantastic time in Ko Samui and in great part to the Will Wait
Apartments. Once we were used to the walk from the main Beach to the
apartments the holiday was very good. The apartments are luxurious and
the staff are very friendly, they were very clean and well worth the
reasonable price we paid. When trying to find it, I suggest you go to
the will wait restaurant in chaweng beach and ask, they will be happy
to take you there! " |

Cactus Bungalow is a very nice and quiet place. The restaurant is the
best on the beach. We tried any other kitchen on the way, but Cactus
was the best. When you want to go snorkeling don´t book the ferry, just
take one of the speedboats, at the Internet Cafe ( Cactus ) they´re
very expensive.
We´ve had an nice stay and enjoyed our trip very much. They only need a
beachball net!!!

The hotel is clean and the service is good at the reception and bar on
the beach. On the other hand, the service at the restaurant, mainly for
breakfast, is bad, people are lazy and look bored or sad ! I always had
the impression to disturb. By the way, sorry for disturbing ! For the
`country of smile` ... The site does not reflect the reality because
new buildings were built and not referenced on the site. I should have
a `de luxe room with direct view on the sea` and a house was built just
in front of it !!! No direct view anymore !!! I was quite
disappointed." |

Location perfect in own quite beach, excellente food and nice staff.
But we were very disapointed about the room, booked and paid extra in
advance for beach front deluxe, but that room was not available until 3
days later. The room was not deluxe standard, standard was lower and
the rooms needed to be refreshed, holes in the wall so mosquitos could
get in. We complained and got 500 baht per day back. I think the ad on
the web sawadee.com should be a little more up to date not to disapoint
customers, the price of 3300 baht (3 persons) for a ´´deluxe´´ room
like this is to expensive and misleading." |

A good mid range option in Samui - quiet, attractive setting right on
the beach, good restraurant. Rooms are quirky rag rolled bright citrus
colours and are spotless, beds are as firm as you like but the shower
is weak. Staff are fine - nothing to complain about. Small gripe is the
200 baht pick up because a pet hate is overpaying for taxis." |
